\nThe KAMPALA NORTHERN BY PASS was opened to the public on October 1st, 2009, a few days prior to Uganda’s Independence Day. The project entails the construction of 21 km of single-lane roads, and some two-lane roads, crossing the marshland around the city of Kampala. This work, which includes 9 road bridges and a footbridge, is financed by the European Development Fund and the Ugandan Government, and was carried out by Salini Costruttori.
\nThe opening of this bypass, eagerly awaited by Kampala’s citizens, will help with traffic flows to and from areas in the north and west of Uganda, and will considerably boost urban mobility in the capital. \n<\/p>\n<\/p>","image":"PICT5854_ott.jpg"}
