The President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, met Salini Costruttori’s MD, Pietro Salini whilst visiting Uganda and other African countries where Salini is building important hydropower projects.

Discussion regarded mainly Uganda’s hydropower potential in particular the Kyoga Nile project which could be a long term solution to the country’s increasing demand for energy.

Salini Costruttori has been working in the energy sector of Uganda for many years where it  has already completed the Owen Falls Project and where it is currently working on the Bujagali Hydropower Project (250MW) which, once completed, should be the solution to the medium term demand for energy in the country.
