The Corporate Responsibility of the business is therefore the basis of every decision, an integral part of every action and decision in all aspects of collective life, especially in the education and health sectors, which are assuming ever greater importance.

Salini’s construction sites interact at all levels with the situation in which they are operating, bringing economic wellbeing and professional qualifications to those hired in loco and the entire community. Salini puts its own structures at the community’s disposal – field hospitals, training classrooms, wells – the roads and bridges created for the works, the know-how and means to cope with the hygiene, health, residential and recreational requirements.

In addition, there are philanthropic initiatives: Salini has in fact made significant and lasting donations to local communities, from the great Millennium Park for the Nigerian capital, Abuja, to the Gefersa Mental Hospital of Addis Ababa, or the Maternity Wing of the Fofa Health Centre, also in Ethiopia.

These are permanent structures that last, creating physical and cultural points of reference, helping to fight disease, becoming motors for the improvement of living conditions and economic and social development and wellbeing for the entire local community.
